Come take a Sugarhouse Tour

It's almost spring here at the Inn (or at least it is in my mind!)...the sap is running and the weather should be great. Think about coming to stay with us for the weekend of Mar 18-19, and take a sugarhouse tour here in Sullivan County! A sugarhouse, for the uninitiated, is where the sap of the maple tree is collected and boiled down to that delicious nectar of the gods, maple syrup. A $20 entry fee ($30 for 2) buys you a map showing the route to five sugarhouses that will be open starting at noon on Saturday, Mar 19, ending with live music at the final location. It's a fundraiser for several local not-for-profits, so it's all for a good cause. If you're interested in more info, call us. For tickets to the tour, call Claire Sullivan at 845-557-3642. Of course, there are the special reasons you'll like staying at the Inn, such as rooms with fireplaces and whirlpool baths; not to mention the hiking/cross-country skiing/snowshoeing (depending on what weather Mother Nature delivers). The hearty country breakfasts are nothing to sneeze at, either, and, to get back to our original subject, we serve genuine New York maple syrup with your pancakes, French toast, or Belgian waffles.  Check for availability on our website, or call us at 845-791-9506.
