September is here, and there's lots to do here in the Sullivan County Catskills. Farmers' markets abound with fresh, farm-to-market produce, and there's a website that I really enjoy visiting called Early Bird Cookery that sponsors local farm-to-table "Saturday night suppers." There's a dinner coming up on September 24, and another on October 22. The menus look wonderful, and I'm going to try to attend one soon. Come and stay for a weekend with us, and get in on one of these delicious events. Another great activity held at Bethel Woods is the Harvest Festival series that they sponsor on Sundays in the fall, starting September 4, from 11am to 4pm. They showcase everything from wine to alpacas to handmade furniture on different Sundays. This is a great time of year to visit Sullivan County--the days are usually warm and the evenings cool and crisp, and we'll soon be seeing the beautiful fall foliage that we're known for.
We're going to see Elton John tonight at Bethel Woods--I'll tell you all about it next time!
Ivan and rue, Saw the video today and it is awesome! Makes your house and landscape look as good as it really is! Sometimes it can be difficult to duplicate an experience like ours at the Inn but this comes extremely close -We love it! Can't wait to see you again!
